The Magistrate Court of Fulton County works everyday to Inform, Engage and Empower Our Community

The Magistrate Court of Fulton County exists to serve the citizens of Fulton County.  Here, you may choose to represent yourself. If you choose to represent yourself, you are not required to have an attorney to appear in this court, which makes the Magistrate Court accessible for self-represented parties.  No jury trials are held in Magistrate Court and our jurisdictional level is $15,000 in civil cases.

The Civil Division handles matters such as Abandoned Motor Vehicles, Dispossessory (Landlord-Tenant) Actions, Small Claims, Garnishments, Weddings/Marriages, Personal Property Foreclosure. And, the Criminal Division handles matters such as Warrant Applications, First Appearance Hearings, Preliminary Hearings and Child Abandonment Warrant Applications. The Fulton County Magistrates also provide judicial assistance as requested by the Superior Court.
